Grano Frutta e Farina: a nice bakery for a break in Rome while wandering around Campo Marzio

27 August 2017 By Lori Leave a Comment

If you are in Rome, and are wandering around Campo Marzio, I suggest you the Bakery Grano Frutta e Farina for a lunch, a breakfast or just a short break.

The concept is that of an organic bakery, with the use of special flours and attention to  the leavening. It’s not cheap, but if you consider you are in the very centre of Rome, close to the famous stairs of Piazza di Spagna, and that ingredients are carefully selected, Grano Frutta e Farina is definitely worth the stop.

I had lunch here with some friends to have pizza with salsiccia e friarielli (sausages and broccoli rabe), pizza with potatoes and water.

The price was some 7/10 euros per person. It vary on how much pizza you take. I didn’t try neither the desserts nor the coffee, but they seem to have a good selection of sweet dishes too, together with salads if you do not want pizza or sandwiches.

You can sit inside, even if the place is not big. If you want a table, close to the Bakery you will find a Bistrot, but I have to try it before suggesting it. Maybe next time in Rome.
